She was the World War One spycatcher whose forensic attention to detail helped foil a German gang operating in Britain - yet her efforts have only just seen the light of day. Mabel Elliott uncovered the spy ring when working as a Government censor –literally reading between the lines of a secret message written in lemon juice. Jane will be finding out more about modest Mabel and how her extraordinary story was discovered, with Dr Helen Pain from the Royal Society of Chemistry and social historian Juliet Gardiner.
