Shaun does wonders for your ears from his impeccable taste in music, to A-list guests. As per usual Shaun is joined live in studio by Matt Everitt for an irreverent take on the day's music news as we look ahead to tonights Mercury Music Prize.

Guest wise we chat after 9am with BBC gardener, Alys Fowler also known as The Thrifty Forager. Alys takes a very much an urban approach to foraging, she recently spotted a fig tree in the middle of London. Having formally studied at Kew Gardens and the New York Botanical Gardens she went onto present Gardeners World for the BBC.

And as for the soundtrack? We're talking...The Smiths, Toots, Pulp, Friendly Fires, Bon Iver, Emmy The Great, A Tribe Called Quest, Bowie, Prince, MGMT... need we go on?
