Colonel Gadaffi's son, Saif al-Islam, says his father is safe and well and still in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. He makes a surprise visit to the hotel where journalists are staying, before touring the city to prove, he says, that the government is still in control.

A man in the Libyan capital tells Up All Night that everyone where he lives is armed and ready to fight Gaddafi's forces.

Plus, Rhod examines the situation Colonel Gaddafi, the National Transitional Council and NATO find themselves in with two big names in American politics. US Senator John McCain was an early proponent of US military involvement in Libya and Andrew Young is a former American Ambassador to the United Nations who's also founded several organisations founded on public policy, political lobbying and international relations.
