Synopsis
Gilles Peterson with a Jazz Special this week, representing everything from old right through to the new.
US pianist, Austin Peralta from the Brainfeeder camp features with 2 tracks taken from his Maida Vale session recorded earlier this month, with Richard Spaven on drums and the Cinematic Orchestra's Jason Swinscoe on effects.
Plus Gilles has words and music with idris Ackamoor, who is one fifth of the 70s jazz band, The Pyramids, who have re-formed after 30 years apart! They discuss Cecil Taylor, the Church of Coltrane, and new Pyramids material.
