Synopsis

Paul returned to the wireless with another packed show in which he said he often goes upstairs, forgets why he went up, and has to go back downstairs to try and remember the original reason for going up in the first place! He also said he's not on any social networking sites, and he had an interesting e-mail from a listener who said they spotted Mrs Bala Clava in Arizona with Elsie the Mouse...

This week's All-Star Triples came from Daryl Hall and John Oates, and one of Paul's favourite artists Elkie Brooks. The Lost TV Theme was the classic BBC drama series 'Z Cars', and the Cocktail Hour track was 'So Many Stars' by Barbra Streisand.

COCKTAIL HOUR

Today's cocktail is a STAR COCKTAIL

Pour one and a half ounces of apple brandy into a mixing glass, and add another one and a half ounces of sweet vermouth. Add three dashes of angostura bitters, and two dashes of gum syrup.

Fill the glass with ice and stir well. Then strain it into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

If you do attempt this recipe, please drink responsibly.

TRIPLE ACTION...

Paul and studio manager John, admire a tank top, knitted and sent in by regular listener Elsie Toms.
