Tracks this week include Georgie Fame, Jimmy Jones, The Merseybeats, The Doors, Johnny Burnette, Ricky Nelson, The Applejacks, Lulu and a yodelling Frank Ifield. There's the Troggs hit recorded in 10 minutes and a track recorded by Sam Cooke but made famous by Frank Sinatra. The Double-A side comes from Johnny and The Hurricanes. The Chronicles looks back to the death of Marilyn Monroe, the Beatles' last performance at The Cavern, the 1966 World Cup and that famous commentary by Kenneth Wolstenholme, Mods and Rockers riots in Hastings and Great Yarmouth, the start of Dad's Army (it still hasn't ended!) and the story of a man in a cave.
