Synopsis
Fresh from her tour with Suzy Bogguss and Gretchen Peters, Nashville singer-songwriter Matraca Berg joins Bob in session.
A much acclaimed and multi-award winning songwriter Matraca performs songs from her first album in fourteen years, 'The Dreaming Fields', which includes her composition 'You and Tequila', a recent number one for country superstar Kenny Chesney.
Her career as a song writer saw her land her first number one at the age of eighteen. Since then her hit songs have included 'Wrong Side of Memphis' and 'XXXs and OOOs' recorded by Trisha Yearwood, 'Wild Angels' recorded by Martina McBride and 'I'm That Kind of Girl' recorded by Patty Loveless. In 1996 her song 'Strawberry Wine' won the CMA song of the year award.
As a performer she's recorded three solo albums including Lying to the Moon in 1990 and Sunday Morning to Saturday Night in 1997.
