Crew Diary: Confidential Presents 'Tales from the Tent'

With the snow continuing to fall and icicles forming on our noses, Confidential was seeking some shelter from the cold and wandered into a tent to find Matt, Karen and Arthur also hiding from the wind! Luckily we had our cameras on standby to film their chat about their Christmas, people they idolise (or rather, their possible real-life doppelgangers, but I’ll say no more…) and their thoughts on some new bizarre Doctor Who monsters!

Filming at Caerphilly Castle, the cold wasn’t the only thing sending shivers down our spines. Matt and Karen discovered its reputation for being haunted by the Green Lady. Ghost Tour Guide, David Thompson, filled them in on the local legend that led to the Green Lady’s melancholy wanderings of the castle corridors.

Writer Matthew Graham visited the CGI team to take a look at the creation of his Jennifer Monster and to see it coming to life. He also let slip where he drew his inspiration for such a beast. Sarah Smart visited the green screen studio to add a personal touch to her menacing double.

Confidential was as shocked as everyone to learn that Amy had in fact been kidnapped and replaced with a Ganger so we spoke to Karen about this scene to give us an insight into what’s happening in Amy’s head. Steven told us how this moment is a game changer for the whole series and pointed out that travelling with the Doctor is never a safe ride… whether you’re Rose, Martha, Donna or indeed Amelia Pond.
