Synopsis
Tonight Marc welcomes the mighty Americana sound of Phosphorescent
American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Phosphorescent is known to his parents as Matthew Houck. Houck began recording and performing under his new name in 2001 but only after recording an album as Fillup Shack
Phosphorscent's debut album A Hundred Times or More came out in 2003, and was followed by Aw Come Aw Wry in 2005 and Pride in October 2007. He first came to our attention though in 2009 when Cowboy Rob Hughes brought in his 2009 tribute to Willie Nelson "To Willie" (which was inspired by Willie's own tribute album to Lefty Frizzell "To Lefty from Willie").
Since then Phosphorescent has released Here's to Taking It Easy and is in the middle of his European tour. Originally from Alabama, he now lives in either Athens, Georgia or Brooklyn, New York depending on which website you believe.
