With seals, seabirds, rare orchids and and a mysterious Golden Hare, it's no wonder the island is a mecca for wildlife lovers the world over. The Golden Hare
Rathlin's beautiful Golden Hare is extremely rare, and extremely hard to find - many have tried and failed, but can Your Place and Mine succeed? Anne Marie goes in search of this mysterious and elusive animal in the company of professional photographer Tom McDonnell. Wildlife lover Tom moved to the island several years ago and has been blessed with several sightings of the Hare, even getting close enough to take some stunning photos, including the one above. With Tom's expertise, Anne Marie is confident of a sighting, but will their luck hold?

The Boathouse Quilt
Nearly 20 years ago a group of Rathlin women, including Peggy McFaul, gathered to share their stories of Island life. While they talked, they sewed and over the next year images from their conversations were transformed into a beautiful quilt. Sixteen colourful panels depict scenes from the Island’s story, each stitched around a centrepiece map of the Island and the sea. The quilt now hangs in island's boathouse museum - Anne Marie went along to see it and meets some of the remarkable women who made it.
