Jonathan Edwards presents live coverage from the streets of Manchester as several of the world's elite middle distance runners compete over 10km. The event, now in its eighth year, is expected in to see 38,000 people take to the streets as competitors pass several of the city's most notable landmarks.

Ethiopian great Haile Gebrselassie has won the elite men's race three times, including each of the last two years. His compatriot Worknesh Kidane is the defending champion in the women's event. Four-time men's champion David Weir and three-time women's winner Shelly Woods compete in the wheelchair races.
