Jack tells Dot how worried he is about Ronnie. Dot visits Ronnie, claiming she needs the company as Jim’s in respite care. Dot’s kind to Ronnie, she knows she’s in pain and asks Ronnie to let her help, no-one will judge. Before Ronnie can say anything, Jack walks in. Later, realising what she’s putting Jack through, Ronnie goes to Dot and questions her about God and sin, what if she can’t live with what she’s done?
Whitney’s stayed with Lauren overnight. Against Whitney’s wishes, Lauren calls Ricky. Back at Pat’s, the family are happy to see Whitney, but only Tiffany acts normally around her. Whitney can’t cope and escapes to Dot’s house, Dot invites her to stay.
Hearing about the Masoods’ financial woes, Ian makes Zainab agree to sell him their share of Masala Queen at a low price, otherwise he’ll pursue a lengthy, expensive compensation claim for his alleged injuries. Phil refuses to give Masood an increase on his loan. Zainab insults Phil; he takes pleasure in telling Zainab he’d reconsidered and was going to lend them more money, until Zainab’s outburst. Tanya tells Zainab Greg won’t start work on the roof until they’ve paid what they already owe.
Greg and Tanya’s romantic night in is spoilt when Jane, Zainab and Ian turn up on the doorstep. Tanya’s night gets worse when her mother, Cora, arrives.
