Episode 4 of 20, Britain's Empty Homes, Series 2
Duration: 30 minutes
Armed with a budget of 300,000 pounds, but with absolutely no renovation experience, freelance marketing consultant Ali Marsh has been combing the estate agent windows of Leicestershire for an empty stone cottage to transform into her dream home.
Full of enthusiasm, but with absolutely no experience, first timer Ali could use some pointers to help her on her way.
Enter experienced renovator Jules Hudson. Will Ali see the hidden potential for expansion in a vacant blacksmith's cottage in the pretty Leicestershire village of Sewstern? And can Jules inspire her with a visit to a contemporary home in the old industrial heart of Leicester, which began life as a 1920s knitting factory?
