    The Benedictine Monks live just outside Rostrevor in the Kilbroney Valley – their new home is the first Benadictine monastery to be built in Ireland since the 12th Century.

    DR HELEN ROSEVEARE

    Dr Helen Roseveare became a Christian while studying medicine at Cambridge University. In the 1950’s she went to work as a medical missionary in the rain forests of the Belgian Congo – now Zaire.

    TOMMY SANDS

    Singer/songwriter and social activist Tommy Sands lives in Rostrevor. He’s one of Northern Ireland’s best known musicians.
