As we turn to God in prayer, we ask for the grace to see God’s kingdom and to dedicate our lives to bringing about justice and righteousness.

We thank God for the many people who dedicate their lives to justice and good works in our Churches and in our communities.

And let us pray with the Psalmist,
“Show me Lord the disciple’s path, teach me your ways.
Give me the courage to walk in your footsteps.
Recall not the sins of my youth
But in your goodness remember me in love.”

We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Lord we ask you in these cold evenings to bless us with kindness and compassion.

Send the blessing of an easy conscience and a sense of being forgiven.

Take away our guilt and bless us with a clear path ahead.

And may almighty God bless us all in this world and in the next.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
