In our prayers we ask for the strength to be meek and the faith to trust in God’s goodness.

We ask the Lord to change us from within; may God change my heart to be the person God wants me to be.

May those who feel bullied find an inner strength and may those who are tempted to bully the meek, overcome the temptation to be so destructive.

May all of us treat others with respect and gentleness and may those who feel threatened learn to trust in their goodness.

Lord we ask you to give courage and strength to those working for Christian Unity and may all religions listen to the Lord’s plea, “Learn from me for I am meek and gentle of heart.”

We ask this and all our prayers, through Christ our Lord, Amen.

We ask the Lord’s blessing on all the good and gentle people who have helped us throughout our lives.

May we have a deep peace within us and may we be able to share the blessing of that peace with those we meet.

Give us a trust in the Lord and bless us with the wisdom never to sell our souls for worldly gains.

And may almighty God bless us all in this world and in the next. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
