Duration:
3 hours, 5 minutes
First broadcast:
Sunday 02 January 2011

Each week Aled Jones plays tracks from a broad musical spectrum, that celebrates both our choral traditions and the vibrant world of modern music as well as spiritually uplifting and reflective music. He also discusses religious and ethical issues of the week with faith representatives.

Aled Jones says Good Morning Sunday to the first woman in the world to compete in a World Rally Car, Penny Mallory. Penny tells Aled about her inspiring life, which took her from homeless teenager to rally champion, marathon runner and mountaineer, and the role that faith has played in that journey. Aled's Faith Guest is magician and broadcaster Geoffrey Durham. Geoffrey discusses the week's news from a faith perspective, and gives the Moment of Reflection.

"I love the buzz and physical challenge of running, riding and boxing, but I also know that to find real balance in life it is also essential to achieve some moments of stillness and mindfulness. That balance is I believe key to unlocking your true potential."
Those are the words of Aled's guest, Penny Mallory. Penny is a former ladies UK rally champion, an unbeaten women’s welter weight boxer, stunt driver, television presenter and life coach. Her comfortable childhood was shattered when her parents divorced and, by her own admission, she went off the rails. Penny explains how she found the inner strength to overcome those difficulties and achieve her ambitions.
