About Believe The Eddie Izzard Story

Years in the making, BELIEVE chronicles comedian/actor Eddie Izzard’s rise to fame, from his early influences - losing his mother to cancer at a young age, then being sent away to boarding school - to the present day and his relationship with his supportive father.

Prior to his Sexie tour in 2003, he delved into his own life for inspiration. This began an accidental voyage into his past that paralleled his world tour and culminated in a moment of revelation about the source of his relentless drive. Director/Producer Sarah Townsend has used a blend of archival footage and new interviews to tell Eddie’s story.
