BBC Radio 4 brings back a much loved TV favourite - What the Papers Say. It does what it says on the tin. In each programme a leading political journalist has a wry look at how the broadsheets and red tops treat the biggest stories in Westminster and beyond. This week Anne McElvoy takes the chair.

Anne McElvoy is a political columnist at the London Evening Standard.

Anne joined The Times as a graduate trainee in 1988 and became a foreign correspondent, reporting on the fall of the Berlin Wall, the unification of Germany and the break up of Yugoslavia. In 1992 she became the paper’s bureau chief in Moscow. Thereafter, she was Deputy Editor of The Spectator and Executive Editor of the Evening Standard.

A regular broadcaster, Anne appears on Newsnight and Question Time among other programmes.
