Cuts to School Sports
The Department for Education is cutting £162 million from school sport. And that could have a big impact on PE lessons and specialist sports at schools right across the North East and Cumbria. The Government says they're still committed to competitive school sports. But Olympic athletes are among those who've expressed their concern. On this Sunday's show we'll hear from a Commonwealth swimmer from Tyneside - and we'll talk to the politicians including Bishop Auckland's Helen Goodman. Also: Berwick MP Alan Beith launches a survey to find out whether it's time to change the clocks and keep summer time all year round. It would mean lighter evenings but darker mornings too. Find out more on the show this Sunday.
