Labour Conference
Labour's Conference was testing for the party. It began with the controversial election of Ed Miliband by the smallest of margins and ended with his brother David's departure from front line politics. Former Labour Home Secretary Charles Clarke, who announced he would be unlikely to stand again, gave his reaction to the election of the new leader.
