Synopsis

Julian Worricker investigates websites offering free health supplements. We hear why potholers are digging to connect 100 kilometres of tunnels and caves across the counties of Cumbria, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and why the European Union has said it is 'discriminatory' to test nurses who want to work in the UK if they are from another EU country.

Chapters

  1. Chapter 1

About 30 internet companies based in the UK have been shut down in the public interest by the High Court after thousands of complaints.

  2. Chapter 2

A video widely viewed on Youtube showed a guard turning his back on a disabled passenger who needed help boarding a train. Is this an isolated incident?

  3. Chapter 3

Cavers and potholers are a matter of metres away from connecting an underground network of caves, caverns and tunnels which will link Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire. John Thorne reports.

  4. Chapter 4

Changes to the current driving test are being introduced in October, which includes the routes used by test centres being taken off the internet.

  5. Chapter 5

The regulatory body for nurses, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, can no longer make additional checks on nurses from other EU countries before they can register in the UK.

  6. Chapter 6

It may soon be possible to use DNA to trace a person's geographical origins.

  7. Chapter 7

If you own a home and land in Bulgaria you have to register as a company and your details are stored on the National Trade Register. There are concerns about the safety of that information.
