  • INTERVIEWS

    JO BRAND

Jo Brand is one of Britain’s best-loved comedians. More recently, however, she’s fulfilled a long-held ambition to learn to play the church organ. In a revealing interview originally transmitted on Songs of Praise on 6th September 2009, Jo talks about her love of churches and her own spiritual journey.

    DAVID CAMERON, PRIME MINISTER

David Cameron Prime Minister, and leader of the Conservative Party, talks of how the church influenced his early years, and how now for him prayer is very much a quiet time to reflect on his own life, family and responsibilities.

    BARONESS PATRICIA SCOTLAND

Baroness Scotland is a British barrister, and served as Attorney General for England and Wales and Advocate General for Northern Ireland, a ministerial position in the UK Government.

She tells us about her early church experiences in the UK; of her work and of her great faith and belief in a God who has blessed her with all the things she deems good in her life.

    DUNCAN BANNATYNE

You may know Duncan from his role in the BBC television series ‘Dragons’ Den’. He is a successful entrepreneur who started out as an ice cream man but went on to use the profits to build care homes for the elderly. His focus now is on a chain of hotels and fitness clubs which bear his name. He has received an OBE for his charity work and one of his main commitments is helping abandoned children in Romania. On a previous Songs of Praise transmitted on 26th July 2009, Duncan tells us how his faith inspires him to help those less fortunate.
