  • About The Old Guys

    About The Old Guys

Tom (Roger Lloyd Pack) and Roy (Clive Swift) are typical flatmates, they argue over who needs to do the washing up, and end up eating olives for breakfast as neither of them want to do the shopping. The ‘boys’ also spend a lot of time vying for the attention of their neighbour Sally (Jane Asher).
However, these aren’t twenty something flatmates striking out from home for the first time…Tom and Roy are both pensioners with freedom passes and should know better!
The pair moved in together when Roy got divorced and together they have been growing old, but not growing up.
The series is written by Jesse Armstrong, Sam Bain and Simon Blackwell, the multi-award winning and Oscar nominated writers of Peep Show, The Thick of It and In The Loop. The Old Guys is produced by BBC Scotland.

  • About Tom

    About Tom

Tom is a baby boomer who grew up in the sixties and won’t admit he’s aging. After neglecting his daughter Amber (Katherine Parkinson), and a string of failed relationships, Tom ended up alone and lonely.

His friendship with Roy is his longest and most successful relationship. He was living in a bed sit when Roy kindly took him in, and he hasn’t looked back since.

  • About Roy

    About Roy

Unlike Tom, Roy settled down and got married, but things just didn’t work out. So since his retirement and his recent divorce, Roy is keen to get on and enjoy his life.

Steady and dependable, Roy treats Amber like his surrogate daughter and relies on Tom to bring a touch of colour and sparkle to his life.
