  • The future is not female

According to a recent report from UK Feminista, women continue to be under-represented in British cultural life, and in politics, the church and academia. Journalist Mary Ann Sieghart says that for at least 20 years we have been fed the line that the 'Future is Female'. But why has the future has always failed to materialise? She discusses this with journalist Joan Smith.

  • Dad and daddy

Gay couple Barrie and Tony Drewitt-Barlow sparked a furore in 1999 when they travelled to the U.S. and used donated eggs and a surrogate mother to become the fathers of twins. The children became the first in this country to be registered as having two fathers and no mother. Four years later they had a son, and earlier this year they became the fathers of another set of twins. They join Jenni to discuss their unusual family and how they have found being the parents of five.
