Jez Nelson presents a concert by Food, recorded at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. British saxophonist Iain Ballamy and Norwegian percussionist Thomas Stronen create delicate and detailed ambient soundscapes that bring together a lyrical approach to jazz with elements of folk and atmospheric electronics. For this concert they're joined by Austrian guitarist Christian Fennesz, who also features on Food's latest album: Quiet Inlet. This set includes a new work by Thomas Stronen that was commissioned by the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
