    Jimmy Doherty

    Most commonly known for his love of farming Jimmy also has a big interest in the natural world. While studying for a degree in zoology he developed a passion for insects. He even ended up as a volunteer at the Natural History Museum where he pinned butterfly specimens. Today he keeps live butterflies at his farm in Suffolk.

    Liz Bonnin

    French-born, Dublin-raised Liz is a lover of wildlife and science. She has a degree in biochemistry from Trinity College, Dublin, and more recently returned to academia to study for a Masters degree in wild animal biology and conservation. Liz now works for conservation programmes at the Zoological Society of London and presents BBC One’s science show Bang Goes the Theory.

    Kate Bellingham presented Tomorrow's World in the 90s. She has since gone on to be a leading figure in the advancement of science, hoping to inspire the next generation to take up science. In the series Kate's inspiration comes from discovering how the Natural History Museum are leading their field, by using cutting edge technology to help them understand the science of life.

    Mark Carwardine

    Mark is an internationally renowned wildlife photographer and conservationist, with a passion for whales and dolphins. As chair of the museum’s annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition Mark has spent much time in the museum before but this is the first time he's ventured behind the scenes. He also presented Last Chance to See with Stephen Fry.

  • Chris Van Tulleken

    Chris Van Tulleken

    Chris is first and foremost a doctor of tropical medicine, undergoing specialist training in infectious diseases at University College Hospital, London. His medical work takes him on expeditions and adventures all over the world. This series sees Chris discover the groundbreaking work of the museum and he even helps them tackle a disease threatening the lives of millions of people across Africa. He is an honorary lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Chris and his twin brother Xand appeared in the BBC One series The Secret Life of Twins.
