Synopsis

Becca still has her eye on Max. She pulls Abi to one side, telling the girl that she has been asked to do so by her father. The two head into the Café and after a somewhat awkward conversation, Abi pops into the ladies before leaving. As she goes, Becca opens her hand to reveal Abi’s house keys sitting in her palm. Following a brief trip to the Vic, Max comes home to find Becca lying across his dining table covered in whipped cream and tinned fruit. Max wastes no time in throwing her out but has difficulty explaining the mess to his sister.

Ricky is concerned to have still heard nothing from Walford High regarding their application to enrol Liam. Billy, feeling guilty, overhears the concerned father talking to Ian about it and somehow the missing letter finds its way through the letterbox. Ricky and Bianca are alarmed to hear that Liam has been accepted to King Edward V, a rough school which is two bus rides away.

Billie Jackson’s friends Connor and Kylie make another attempt to befriend Whitney and even though Carol tells them to leave her son alone, they seem to be intent on staying.

Learning that Lauren has decided not to go and see Max, Carol decides to throw a big family dinner in the hope of enticing her niece into making future visits. Sitting down to dinner with all the gang from Pat’s house, tensions mount as talk of Liam’s disappointment pervades. Things come to a head when Whitney reveals, having heard so from Billie, that Carol has been fired from her job. Seeing the argument taking a toll on young Abi, Max puts an end to things by insisting that everyone leave.

Jane and Lucy finally decide to tell Ian about their plans for the baby. Despite Lucy’s fears, Jane is positive that Ian will take the news well. When Ian returns, hearing that his daughter is pregnant and wants to give the baby to his wife does not go down as well as intended. After insisting that Lucy will have an abortion, Ian heads out to the Vic where he spills all to a concerned Dot.

After Dot tells Patrick that Liz has rushed back to Spain, Lucas is even more anxious to hear that Patrick is planning to contact his friend and find out why she has gone so suddenly. Keen to put an end to the search for Owen, Lucas tries to persuade Patrick that it is best to leave Liz alone but, after calling her in Spain, Patrick is pleased to announce that she will be returning soon and that the search is still going ahead.

Unhappy with the modern touches that Roxy has added to the pub, Peggy is thrilled to put the Queen Vic bust back in its rightful place on the bar but Roxy is somewhat less enthusiastic. Not wanting a constant reminder of her father’s murder, the landlady enlists the help of a regular in taking it away, much to Peggy’s frustration. Tired of standing by, Peggy seeks the advice of youngsters Billie and Whitney in the hope of making some changes of her own.

Whilst tidying up the mess from Carol’s less than successful dinner party, Abi is shocked to find a pair of lacy knickers behind the fridge. This can only mean one thing to her, that her father is up to his old tricks again.
