Handel's opera Tamerlano comes to the Royal Opera House and Petroc chats to director Graham Vick, conductor Ivor Bolton and tenor Kurt Streit (who replaces the indisposed Placido Domingo as Bajazet).

Elsewhere, Julian Philips, Glyndebourne's composer-in-residence, previews the company's latest outreach project, Knight Crew, a retelling of the King Arthur legend in a contemporary urban setting with 60 young performers.

Also, pianist Brad Mehldau provides music and discusses his new album, 'Highway Rider', which is released later this month.
