Dennis and his friends want to go to the Ratbucket gig, but they don't have tickets. After discovering that Athena, Ratbucket's daughter, is looking for the latest fashion dog, Dennis decides that he and Gnasher can persuade her. Athena offers Dennis all sorts of things in exchange for Gnasher, but not gig tickets. Dennis is confident that the tickets are still to come, and agrees to let Athena take Gnasher. It's not long before it's clear that Athena can't cope with Gnasher's behaviour, and attempts to give him back to Dennis.
But, sticking to the plan, Dennis refuses to swap everything back for Gnasher. Athena insists that he can keep everything and she'll give him tickets to a Ratbucket gig. Gnasher snatches the tickets and leaps back into Dennis's arms. But the tickets are for last year's gig! At least Dennis has his best friend back.
