    Next Tuesday the Open-air Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre puts on the first ever Christmas show. ‘Footsbarn’s Christmas Cracker’ is a family carnival production inspired by the complete works of William Shakespeare and running for a total of 18 performances. As the theatre is open air the production is kept brief with two, half-hour acts separated by an interval.

    Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole kicks off his new live tour on the 22nd December at the Brighton Dome. Brendan 'Live and Un-judged' is an all-singing, all-dancing live extravaganza with special guests showcasing a host of classic dance moves from the sensual rumba to the elegant foxtrot; from the red hot salsa to the explosive pasa doble.

    Finally a quick look at pantos….. and first off a classic with a difference because it’s not quite what you’d expect – The West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds re-tells the 'Cinderella' fairytale, but from the point of view of the rats in the kitchen, offering a whole new perspective to spark young children’s imaginations.

    Liza Goddard stars as the Good Fairy in a production of 'Sleeping Beauty' at the Theatre Royal in Bath, which also stars former Eastenders and Hollyoaks actress Gemma Bissix as the Bad Fairy.

    Panto legend Christopher Biggins is Widow Twankey in 'Aladdin' at the Theatre Royal Plymouth, while another favourite Joe Pasquale stars as Muddles in a production of Sleeping Beauty but this time at Birmingham’s Hippodome, which also sees 2006 X-Factor finalist Ray Quinn as The Prince.
