Synopsis
Andrew Neil interviews Sir Ian Blair, former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.
They discuss his time as head of the Met and his views on modern policing before moving on to people’s view of the police, the different ways to tackling crime in London and New York and the politicisation of the police. They also talk about the tragic killing of Jean Charles de Menezes and the challenge of dealing with the threat of suicide bombers.
