Prayers

Tonight we quietly pray the words from the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

May we be open to do God’s will here on earth.
We pray for all Christians called to work together to bring about God’s Kingdom of truth and love.

We pray for world leaders who follow Christ’s example of humility and service and we pray for an end to injustice and violence, especially violence against children.
And may this feast of Christ the King remind us that Christ should reign in our hearts and minds and bodies. We offer all our prayers through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Lord bless and keep us safe this night.
May the prayers of the church bring blessings and forgiveness to us.
Bless us with a sense of hope as we prepare to begin our journey again in Advent.
Take into your care all those who are suffering from poverty and loneliness during these dark November days.
In November we think of our family and friends who have departed this life.
We thank you for the many blessings they brought us.
And may almighty God bless us all in this life and in the next.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
