Synopsis

As the second wave of swine flu gathers momentum, Week in Week Out visits Carmarthenshire to see how the pandemic has affected those villages worst hit - where schools have closed and community life has been on hold. Is this what the rest of Wales can expect?

Swine Flu Comes to Town

Hundreds of people living around Pontyberem in the Gwendraeth Valley fell victim to swine flu, an outbreak that shut two schools before half term and even infected GPs.

So, with the second wave of infections still expected to break across Wales this winter, we ask what can communities across Wales learn from Pontyberem's experience of pandemic flu.
