Synopsis
A journey through ten years of social upheaval, celebrity, art, sex, politics and new technology that may set the template for the next hundred years.
People became text addicts; metrosexual men donned make-up; smoking behind the bikesheds returned; Twitter arrived; there was a fight with 'terror'; WAGS, ASBOs and chavs made an appearance; it was goodbye to Dubya and Teflon Tony and hello to America's first black President; and Simon Cowell made a claim to be the real leader of the free world.
Ken Livingstone, Germaine Greer, Chloe Madeley, Michelle De Swarte, Will Self and others reflect on their personal Noughties with wit, insight, rage and warmth.
