Birmingham’s annual Pantomime Horse Grand National takes place this Sunday. The fun event helps to kick off the start of the pantomime season in a truly British style – in homage to the famous Grand National at Aintree. Winter Wonderland opens this weekend in Hyde Park in London offering six weeks of everything festive and seasonal from an enormous outdoor ice rink and toboggan slide to various stalls including a traditional German Christmas Market, fun fair rides, a 50m Observation Wheel to Santa’s Grotto.
Opening tomorrow at the National Museum of Cardiff is "Green Drops & Moonsquirters: The Utterly Imaginative World of Lauren Child" an exhibition based on the characters and themes from all Laura’s books including Charlie and Lola, Clarice Bean, That Pesky Rat and Hubert Horatio Bartle Bobton-Trent. This interactive exhibition combines over 40 original illustrations with fun and hands-on activities for under 7s and their families including sitting at Charlie and Lola’s kitchen table to make meals with food from their fridge to dressing-up in their favourite outfits and every Friday throughout the exhibition there’s a special story time to enjoy too.
Starting next Wednesday Disney On Ice Presents "Princess Wishes" at Liverpool’s Echo Arena. With Tinker Bell as the guide, the show recreates the moments when seven of Disney’s Princess’ wishes are fulfilled from Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Mulan, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.
