Synopsis

With Jenni Murray.

Including actress Romola Garai - she was called 'mesmerising' by the critics for her performance in the film Atonement; she enchanted audiences in I Capture the Castle and took the lead in the BBC's recent production of Emma. She joins Jenni to talk about her role in Glorious 39, where Bill Nighy plays her dad for the second time in her career.

For many years dogs have been a must-have accessory for fashion icons. From Great Danes and German Shepherds to Poodles and Pekinese, these pets have graced the covers of many glamour magazines. Now fashion historian Judith Watt has compiled a hundred years of Dogs in Vogue, a record of how dogs have been portrayed in the publication. She joins Jenni to discuss why dogs are important to us and how the relationship between women and dogs has changed over the years. They're joined by former model Caprice Bourret - the proud owner of three Chihuahuas.

Pauline Hardinges, 65, has won a £30,000 refund from the NHS for the money she spent on nursing care for her mother who has Alzheimer's. Pauline successfully appealed to get her costs reimbursed, and the NHS paid out on the condition that she signed a secrecy agreement. Having done so Pauline decided to break her silence. She joins Jenni to explain why. So what are a family's financial entitlements when caring for a relative with dementia, and what's the difference between social and medical care?
