Synopsis

Jonathan Ross is joined by deadpan master Jimmy Carr, and big-hitting Serena Williams.

Plus, with an exclusive interview, the show sees the return of Robbie Williams, who, in a Friday Night with Jonathan Ross first, performs two tracks on the show and a further three for red button viewers.

Master of deadpan, Jimmy Carr, joins Jonathan to talk about his latest stand-up tour - which has him working 200 nights out of the year, and the recent controversy over his joke about injured soldiers.

Wimbledon champion Serena Williams talks about her recent win over her sister Venus at the Sony Ericsson Championships, and the controversy over her outburst at the US Open semi-final.

In a first for the show, Robbie Williams will be live in the studio performing new single, You Know Me and his 2002 hit Feel, as well as 3 more tracks which will be available to watch on the BBC red button.

    A man recently broke nine laws in 30 seconds; with the help of a co-worker, Jonathan sees if he can beat that record.

    Jimmy Carr on his controversial war amputees joke. "I felt really, really awful about it."

    The comic talks about being vain, his new stand-up DVD, Telling Jokes, and his love of Twitter. He also has time to receive a tennis serve from Serena Williams.

    Serena Williams on her outburst at the US Open: "I'm not a robot, I'm not perfect."

    The tennis star also chats about living with her sister, Venus, having parents as her coaches and dying on screen.

    Robbie Williams on possibly performing with Take That again: "I hope so, I hope so."

    The singer also discusses his stage fright, his comeback and potentially moving from America to Stoke-on-Trent.
