Synopsis

Earlier in 2009, the nation bid farewell to its last surviving First World War veteran, Harry Patch. Her Majesty the Queen, other members of the Royal Family and senior government figures gather in Westminster Abbey to mark the passing of this generation.

The address is given by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams.
