Synopsis

Victoria speaks to Peter Bacon the student cleared of rape but who is having difficulty moving on with his life - he reveals that he has now changed his name and is about to leave the UK to start a new life.

Plus reports on Hamad Karzai being officially declared elected President of Afghanistan and the case of one-year-old Baby RB who's severely disabled and on a life support machine in hospital.

   The father of a severely disabled baby is in the High Court fighting to keep his son alive. Doctors treating the one year-old want to get a court order allowing them to take him off life support.

   Hamad Karzai has been officially declared the elected president of Afghanistan, after a second round of voting was called off. It was due to be held on Saturday. 5 live's Andrew North is in Kabul.

   Victoria speaks to Seema Ghani in Kabul, Nader Nadery of the Free and Fair Election Foundation of Afghanistan and Prof. Michael Chalmers on the conclusion of the Afghan electoral process.
