  • ASTRONOMY

    ASTRONOMY

    The Irish Astronomical Association will be holding a special public sky-viewing evening on Saturday 17 October at WWT, Castle Espie, near Comber, Co Down. This will start at 8pm. There will be a variety of telescopes and large binoculars to view the wonders of the night sky. No extra charge, but normal WWT admission charges will apply.

  • CASTLEWARD BOOK FAIR

    The Castleward book fair is on Sat 31st October and Sun 1st November between 1 and 5pm, and they will be accepting book donations up until Friday 30th October. To find out more contact them on 02844 881 204.

    The Northern Ireland Ploughing Championships take place on Saturday 17th October at the Macnaughton Estate, Causeway Road, Bushmills. Admission is £8 for adults, and children go free.

  • FERMANAGH UP FOR ARTS

    On Saturday afternoon Voluntary Arts Ireland are holding a public art event at the Diamond and the Erneside Shopping Centre in Enniskillen between 2 & 5pm.
    There will be opportunities to watch art in the making, have a go and talk to the participants.
