Janice Forsyth with all the film and DVD news and interviews you'll need for the weekend.

  • On Today's Show:

We bring you not one but two zombie film legends – as we hear from horror icon Ken Foree and Joe Pilato, Day of the Dead's Captain Rhodes, ahead of personal appearances in Scotland this weekend.

Highlights from not one, not two, but three film festivals opening in Scotland this week – films from across Africa, films for young audiences, and documentaries that highlight human rights issues from around the world.

We hear about the gruelling shoot of Nicolas Winding Refn's Viking drama VALHALLA RISING starring Mads Mikkelsen and Scots actor Gary Lewis - which took place in the Highlands of Scotland and involved bucketing rain, freezing temperatures, and 'bloodsucking midgets' (NB this is a reference to the director's way of erroneously describing the Scottish midges)

Plus news of a new short film starring a Mighty Boosh favourite, and of a screening of the earliest known wedding film in the country.
