Roy's Diary: Week 3
Throughout the month of October five volunteers are taking part in a series of features here on MacAulay and Co aimed at cutting back their alcohol consumption. They’ll be keeping diaries throughout. Here’s Roy’s 3rd diary entry:Roy's Diary: Week 2
I am really pleased with this weeks’ intake, as I have been on holiday, and dotting around chilling out, and it would have been really easy to have had more. I am really determined to carry on with what I have started now in terms of getting fit again, and I feel now that my return to weekly 5 a side football is just around the corner and that will help a lot. The show has shocked me, but more importantly made me focus on my alcohol intake, and think about it seriously. The calories and the total number of units not only shocked me, but a number of friends and acquaintances have also been affected, as they too were drinking the same, if not more than me, so the fact that I agreed to put myself in the spotlight has indirectly helped some of them, and they have vowed to cut down, and follow the advice I am getting on the air.
Thanks once again Radio Scotland for changing my focus dramatically, and I will try very hard not to let you down.
Bringing you the funny bits from the last week on BBC Radio Scotland.
