She also chats with composer and choirmaster Philip Stopford about his new CD release, and Jenny McLaughlin travels to Derry to report on their City of Song...


    In our concert slot this week we listen to the first movement of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 1 performed by Gidon Kremer, the Largo from Dvorak's New World Symphony (No. 9 in E minor) with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir Colin Davis. Berstein's Mass (prefatory prayers) with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop, Schubert's Impromptu in G flat performed by painist Alfred Brendel and finally Gounod's A je veux vivre from his Romeo et Juliette featuring Renee Fleming.
