Synopsis
Anne-Marie McAleese and the team go in search of the weird and wonderful across Northern Ireland, reflecting local life and offering a guide to the things to see and do.
Walled Towns Day
The walls of Derry and Carrickfergus will be the centre of attention this weekend as part of the Walled Towns Day this Sunday (23rd August). Georgian Re-enactments, Town Criers, Galloping Gun Cannon firing, street theatre, storytelling and music will hit the streets in celebration.

Enniskillen Castle
Anne Marie takes a trip to Enniskillen Castle where tour guide, Julian Thornton told her all about this historic defensive castle. Built on the River Erne by the Maguire chieftains, its main purpose was to guard Ulster and Fermanagh.

Giant Picnic
This weekend the National Trust is hosting Giant Picnics for ‘A Giant Cause’. To raise money for the Giant’s Causeway, ten venues across Northern Ireland are having family fun days which will include giant games, giant trails, storytelling and a lot of Finn McCool related madness! Marissa Lavery from the National Trust will join Anne Marie to tell us what will be happening throughout the province!

Irish Whale Watch
Larne and Portrush are the places to be if you want to catch sight of one of the largest creatures ever to have lived on the planet. This years Irish Whale watch, organised by the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, is on Sunday 23rd August.
Whale Watch Ireland 2009 will be held between 2pm and 5 pm at Magheracross near Portrush and at Larne Town Park, Glenarm Road in Larne.

Belvoir Forest Park
With hundreds of acres teaming with wildlife and trees Belvoir Forest Park is the perfect place to be. Situated near the Old Milltown Rd, just a couple of miles from Belfast City, the park has many great features, fabulous trees and even boasts red squirrels as inhabitants.
Tours of the park are held every weekend until the end of September.
