The Beechgrove Garden, 2009 Episode 14 of 24

Around 94 percent of Scottish nursery, primary and secondary schools are now registered with the Eco schools programme, and through that schools are being encouraged to address a variety of environmental issues - from litter and waste to health and wellbeing to biodiversity. They are beavering away, trying to achieve the coveted 'Green Flag' status.

In response to this, Beechgrove has had a huge and increasing post bag from schools asking for assistance, and also wanting to rightly show off what they have achieved as they create, use and maintain their own school gardens.

In this schools programme, the Beechgrove team are split into groups and take a look at two very special school garden projects.
