Excitement at Riley towers...we've got The Firey Furnaces beamed live from New York! There's also a Celebrity Peel By Behest from comedian Stewart Lee. Plus yer usual Peel by Request chosen by you lot, featuring New Order, XTC and Close Lobsters. Not forgetting the one the only Rob Hughes with his Parallel Universe, which is a music mag, some tunes and some talking.... it's not rocket science!!

The Fiery Furnaces are the New York based brother and sister duo a.k.a Matt and Eleanor Friedberger. The band have certainly struck a chord with Marc Riley who rates them as one of his all time favourite bands, so much so that we've got them booked in for two sessions already this year. Their eighth studio album I'm Going Away is released next month and the pair are also on working on The Fiery Furnaces' Silent Record - a non-record record, in book form.
