Synopsis
Claudia Winkleman rounds-up the week's Arts action and asks if the dance scene is dead? Who better to answer than James Palumbo - creator of London's Ministry of Sound - which went on to become a global dance brand. Old Etonian and classical music lover James Palumbo talks about being at the centre of the clubbing scene. There's also funny talk with award-winning comedian Sarah Millican and, dragging us towards midnight, those fabulous blokes in dresses The Globe Girls.

5 Reasons To Go Out & About
The Best Of Manchester Exhibition showcasing shortlisted and winning works in the annual competition opened runs til 20th September at the Urbis in Manchester. It celebrates innovation in the categories of art, music and fashion is led by designer Peter Saville.
The Big Cheese also opened today and runs til 26th July. As the name suggests it’s a cheese festival, in particular celebrating Caerphilly cheese and Welsh cookery. You’ll find it happening at The Caerphilly Visitor Centre.
The Gathering 2009 takes place in Edinburgh Holyrood Park on 25th & 26th July and includes The Highland Games. Aside from the highland athletes, expect pipers, dancers and much live music.
On 26th July, Lower Chicksgrove in Wiltshire hosts The Nadder Valley Fun Dog Show. Among the eight fun dog classes are awards for the Handsomest Dog, the Golden Oldie, the Best Crossbreed and the Waggiest Tail.
26th July is also the start of The State Rooms Of Buckingham Palace summer opening. The tour includes Queen And Commonwealth: The Royal Tour exhibition which showcases gifts given to the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh during their 170 plus official visits to Commonwealth countries as well as a number of the dresses worn by the Queen.
