Synopsis

Loose Ends just cannot keep away from the Latitude Festival!

Recorded in front of an audience at Suffolk's music and arts festival, Clive Anderson presides over the usual mix of live music, conversation and comedy.

Joining Clive on stage are the British film director Stephen Frears, the actor, musician and comedian Keith Allen and the American actor Janeane Garofalo.

Rachael Stirling talks to British human beatbox artist Shlomo.

With comedy from Seann Walsh and music from The Airborne Toxic Event.

Joining Clive Anderson in the BBC Arena at the Latitude Festival is American comic, political activist and Hollywood actor Janeane Garofalo, whose many televison and film credits include ‘24’, ‘The Larry Sanders Show’, ‘The West Wing’, ‘The Truth About Cats and Dog’s and ‘Dogma’. She performs her stand up show at the Edinburgh Festival, Debating Hall, Gilded Balloon between Thursday 6 and Saturday 15 August and The Bloomsbury Theatre on Friday 25 September.

Stephen Frears, the British Film Director behind ‘My Beautiful Laundrette’, ‘Prick Up Your Ears’, ‘The Queen’, talks about his career and most recent film, Cheri. Cheri is out on DVD on Monday 21 September.

Actor, author, comedian and musician Keith Allen joins Clive before the showcase of his forthcoming spoken word album, ‘2 Pikeys On A Mini-Cruise’.

Rachael Stirling talks to the Human Beatbox Artist Shlomo. Shlomo and his Vocal Orchestra are appearing at Womad on Saturday 25 July and the Greenbelt Festival on Sunday 30 August

The Airborne Toxic Event

Music from the Los Angeles based, indie-rock quintet The Airborne Toxic Event performing ‘Sometime Around Midnight' from their self titled album. They return to the UK for Summer Sundae festival on Saturday 8 August and are at Reading and Leeds festivals on Friday 28 and Sunday 29 respectively.
