Synopsis

Ruth lets slip to Sarah Evans that she is no longer seeing 'Doctor' Faldren, but is forced to make amends when Sarah tells her that her relationship swung things in her favour with the board. Ruth calls on Jay for help, who reluctantly stifles his anger and helps her consolidate her position - that is, until Sarah Evans comes face to face with him in his nurse's uniform and realises he isn't a doctor after all. Will Ruth be able to hang on to her precious rotation?

Big Mac is targeted by the Malones, who attack him whilst he is doing his daily patrol on Farmead. Rescued by a local football team, who befriend him, he is unaware that the Malones are still watching him.

Jordan has resolved to start treatment, and is making arrangements to cover his post whilst he is away. However, Adam, his first choice, is distracted by Jessica's absence and Zoe is incensed that Jordan is trying to cover up his illness and refuses to be complicit in his lie. Then Jordan receives some bad news: treatment may be futile.
